FAQ

  • What training methods do you use?

I use positive reinforcement, reward-based training supported by modern behavioral science. My goal is to build dogs’ confidence, support their wellbeing, and help them learn in a way that’s kind, effective, and stress-free.

  • What can I expect during a private training session?

Sessions are personalized for your dog and your household. We’ll review your goals, introduce skills step-by-step, practice real-life scenarios, and ensure you feel confident continuing the work between sessions.

  • Do you use punishment, e-collars, prong collars, or “balanced” training?

No. I follow evidence-based, humane training methods that avoid fear, pain, or intimidation. Instead, I focus on teaching skills, meeting needs, and addressing the root causes of behavior.

  • Do you offer virtual training? Does it work?

Yes! Virtual training is highly effective for many manners and behavior concerns. It also allows you to get real-time coaching without the distractions of in-person sessions, and dogs often learn faster in their own environment.

  • Do you offer group classes?

Yes! I currently offer small-group virtual classes covering foundations, manners, puppy skills, and more. These classes include live coaching, clear demos, and follow-up resources, and they’re designed so your dog can learn with fewer distractions. In-person group classes may be added in the future as the business grows.

  • Where are you located?

Northeast Ohio! For in-home sessions, I primarily work in Portage, Summit and Stark counties. You can contact me directly to see if you are in my service area. Virtual sessions and group classes are available to anyone nationwide.
